Frustrated with auto repairs

So I had a door ding when my car was parked and someone hit my car. No big deal called insurance to take care of it.

Fast forward to repairs.
Paint was spot on and done well but they missed a dime sized spot because they forgot to remove a small amount of tape. So they agreed to paint it and fix it in a couple of days.
Second attempt at picking the car up everything was perfect and I was happy to take the car home.... Until I looked in the back seat. Seat was torn. Investigated further...... Rodents had chewed through my back seats and under the passenger front seat.....

Rant over.... What would you guys do in this situation?
I've missed work and spent money on Uber to get my car on two separate occasions only to fail at receiving my car.

How long was your car at the paint shop .. ??

Could the rodent damage have occurred prior to the time you took it into the shop ..... and you hadn't noticed it .. ??

This^
Not sure it is an automatic assumption that it happened there (nothing saying it didn't either though).

Car was detailed in and out prior to the first attempt to pick up. Damage happened during the 3 days they had it to touch up the paint from the spot they missed during the initial fix

They going to take care of it? They have some clause that they are not responsible for anything beyond the scope of work?
Pain in the ass but as long as they make it good. The missed days and Uber rides just sort of fall into the shit that happens when you own a car category in my outlook on life.

Also to note I've never had a rodent problem ever in my house and I live in middle class suburbs. Don't live on a farm, don't ever visit and park where there might be barns. If I had a rodent problem ever I wouldn't have to feed my snake lol

Very sorry this happened to you.

Hopefully your auto insurance company will deal with this incident for you.

It is typical to find your vehicle unlocked, even sometimes with windows open, when it's in for repair.

Happens at Dealerships all the time. Others just don't care about your car as you would.

They said they would take care of it and the sard seat covers. I'm just worried about them getting rid of the rodents. If they don't try to address the problem they could eat more wires and interior and total the car out if they don't take care of it right away and then I'm out a car all because I wanted to take care of a door ding.

Teach you to worry about door dings!
Ya, as bad as the seats could be if they get to wiring then it can be way worse. Wonder how they got into the car in the first place?

Once the pull the seats to repair them there isnt much space for the rodents to hide. Just see if they will check the trunk storage area and have a good look around the engine bay. All that leaves is the underdash and doing some yoga with a flashlight should solve that.
