Hilux/Tacoma/4 runner axle ratio into 86??

Does anyone know if a G series hilux diff ratio would possibly fit into an 86? Its a 8" crown wheel in the 86 and apparently the ratios out of an IS250 and IS300 fit. Now a lot of toyota stuff interchanges as long as it is not A series like a JZA80 Supra.

I have looked at the vin but it does not have the axle code like the early cars such as Surfs/Hilux's/Tacomas

Thanks

Most likely no, my Tacoma has a 9" crown wheel and a 3.73 gear ratio.

Ok maybe I am quoting the wrong model. I am talking about the G series fitted to Australian Hilux's and 4 Runners.

Will be interesting to see if they fit.

You looking to go above 4.11? Not sure if many hilux came with anything shorter.

I'll be installing a 5.1 final sooner or later. A few Japanese companies offer a 5.1.

On Japanese yahoo I have found 4.33, 4.55 to suit the 86. Here in Aus 4.33, 4.55, 4.88 are common in the Hilux 4wds.
I will have to find a set of gears and drop the carrier out.
