Passenger Side Window Issues

Hello 86 fam.

Need some insight into an issue I am currently having with my passenger side window. The issue with my passenger side window is that it will not come down when using the buttons on the driver's side or the passenger's side. Both buttons are never illuminated. On the driver's side, the button for the driver side is illuminated however the button next to it for the passenger side is not. So essentially I can't control the passenger side window up or down.

The window still automatically lowers one inch when opening the door so I am guessing the motor is not the issue? Is this more of a fuse thing or something with the controls inside the door?

Note: I have used the search function and this is not the issue where the door window light switches are blinking and needs a reset. I have tried that anyways but it did not resolve the issue.

Thanks in advance.

You must have the window lock turned on. Press the button next to the door unlock switch and I bet the switches illuminate.

You're in good company. I believe we have a special registry for victims of that switch if you care to sign up.

There's one for trunk switch too. :D

At least it wasn't the window jam sensor taking over. Where the power window button just blinks and does nothing.

Also a 10 second fix for anybody that actually reads the manual.
