$33.5K

GenkiElite 07-13-2012 10:39 PM

I hope you're not saying you bought that.

Flipside909 07-13-2012 10:41 PM

For $33.5k I could buy something else. :)

Chewie4299 07-13-2012 10:41 PM

Those wheels are hideous. They were better stock IMO.

RRnold 07-13-2012 10:43 PM

Only a fool would buy this car! Sorry, did I say that out loud...

YukiHachiRoku 07-13-2012 10:46 PM

thermobox 07-13-2012 10:48 PM

WTF is it always in Cali? When ever I hear about crazy dealer BS and mark-ups it's there.

DeeezNuuuts83 07-13-2012 10:48 PM

It's not so much "fully loaded" as it is marked up with dealer-installed accessories.

W2 07-13-2012 10:55 PM

We probably need to start a thread for pictures of the most butchered FR-S/BRZs. I have been seeing some really awful ones pop up already.

Subie 07-13-2012 11:01 PM

I'd rather have a BRZ...oh wait....

Davyator 07-13-2012 11:07 PM

What is the kit on it? Is that a five axis kit?

yormaX 07-13-2012 11:15 PM

I like the spoiler, and that's about it.

There doesn't seem to be a kit, just the reflection of the parking lines that's making it seem like there are pieces added

Sall 07-14-2012 03:26 AM

:cry:those wheels made my eyes bleed ...

quik1987 07-14-2012 03:26 AM

ew chrome

Turbowned 07-14-2012 12:26 PM

Dumb! Lemme guess: it's automatic, too. I feel bad for the poor sap they wrangle into this car. I think the chrome wheels look good actually, but I know they won't stay looking like that for long. The owner of the Toyota dealer I used to work for would send his polished 20" TRD Tundra wheels out to Cali to get chromed (he got a new Tundra every year and did the full TRD catalogue, then sell them off), and they'd flake off after a couple years.

alex86 07-14-2012 12:34 PM

:/

F-Bomb 07-14-2012 03:57 PM

Haha this guy posted that on the fr-s group on Facebook and it took everything I had to hold my tongue on it

Raven86 07-14-2012 05:55 PM

that spoiler isn't bad, wheels are ugly though

RRnold 07-14-2012 06:21 PM

Ah Toyota of San Bernadino... no wonder why that city filed for bankruptcy. :bellyroll:

That's the Toyota GT86 spoiler. Don't know if this is a good price or not but it is more pictures/information.

stalon320 07-14-2012 09:51 PM

jesseps 07-14-2012 10:14 PM

The chrome wheels on this car, what a shame.

FT86R not sure if it is just my iPad browser but your bumper picture on your posts means your text is squashed to the right.

Anyone else, is it my browser or the photo?

Sorry all. Worked out it was my browser as the bumper photo was repeated on every post I viewed.

Restarted and fixed.

Skyhound 07-15-2012 02:31 PM

Wow, I never noticed how ugly the wheels look without the black paint...

zAnSh1n 07-16-2012 12:03 AM

Both brands use the same spoiler

So.... am I the only one liking those wheels more than the stock colours? Think it looks good. Personally not loving the dullness of the factory wheels and was thinking of re-painting them bright silver... now wondering if chrome plating is worth investigating...

Although... some of the cars in the signature might show a slight bias towards chrome ;)

I saw your car in the other thread...it's sexy as is do not chrome the wheels! Painting stock wheels is tacky to me IMO.

I'd be cautious if you're thinking about getting the stockers chromed. Sometimes the chroming process can cause the base metal to get brittle...happened to many SRT-4 wheels back in the day...never heard of any issues with the silver painted wheels, but chromed wheels had a tendency to get hairline cracks around stress points...

This is the truth. Chroming involves heating up the factory wheel, which compromises its integrity and strength.

Thank you for confirming without a doubt in my mind that Ultramarine needs dark (black or grey) wheels. Those look awful.

Turbowned 07-16-2012 02:08 PM

Chrome, no. High-polish bare aluminum with clear coat... maybe? I could see it looking good.

Good info - thanks - I'll stick with going bright silver then, and keep the chrome for the '59 land yacht :)
