questions about new BRZ (2017)

I am looking to purchase either the BRZ or the 86, but I need some more information that I can't seem to find. First, I went to the "build" page on Subaru and it gave two choices for the 6 speed manual. One was "limited" and one was "premium". The one thing I noticed was the price increase on the limited, but I could not see the noticeable differences. Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough.
I understand that the 86 and the BRZ are pretty much the same car, but it appears that Subaru gives more options and package choices. On the 86, one of the options is the TRD dual exhaust. If I go with the 86 and don't choose the dual exhaust option, do I get only one exhaust pipe? I couldn't see any pictures of the "stock" exhaust.
I guess the best thing for me to do is visit both Toyota and Subaru dealerships and compare. Thanks!

visit a dealer for specifics of the differences. heated seats, keyless entry/start, and trunk spoiiler come to mind as possibilities.

2 exhaust outlets standard.

Heated side mirrors
Heated front seats
Alcantara/Leather trimmed upholstery

The 86 comes standard with a dual exhaust, like the BRZ.

You need to do a lot more reading, studying.

The 86 comes in just one model...which is a basic, no frills model.

The BRZ comes in two models...Premium (a basic model) and Limited (includes more standard features). Limited can be ordered with an additional package, called Performance Package.

Both 86 and BRZ are essentially the same car under their skins.
Both cars have slightly additional power when ordered with a manual transmission.

The base model of 86 now costs slightly more than the base model (premium) of the BRZ...and for no apparent good reason. If you want a new car, don't need all the bells and whistles, your best bet overall (price wise) is a BRZ Premium with manual transmission...and no options.

The best place to buy this car is a big city where competition is king...even if you must travel to get a car. These are very reliable cars, so no need to live near your Dealership.

Essentially they are the same car, 86 and the premium brz are comparable. The difference with the 86 are going to be in the front end (lights, bumper, fogs, lip), sides mostly badging and wheel, and in the rear the spoiler. As stated above the limited comes with "convenience" like keyless entry, heat warmers, and dual zone climate. Limited also gives you the option to get the performance package which is also stated above with brakes, wheels, and shocks. Also the radio headhunts are different so look into that as well

Only buy a limited. Spring for performance package. That way you have the least amount of depreciation, and the most desirable model available.

So all BRZ facelift models now come with full underbody aero?

This wasn't the case with the pre-facelift and only the Series.Blue had it.

Yup. CSG has/had a Premium that showed it had full underbody aero.
