Would be interesting to hear one of these with an UEL header.

I noticed this as well. At first I gave the benefit of the doubt for camera angle and whatnot, but it seems apparent on all the pictures, and even more so on the picture from CSG's site that has the tips off.

awesome. any chance you can make a clip of just the csgxmxp exhaust with stock engine or with just jackson sc? i only have the jackson so really want to get an idea of what mine would sound like since i don't intend to do headers... :thanks:

I should be able to take a video of what it will sound like with an otherwise stock car later this week when mine arrives.

thanks! also if you didn't already consider it please make a before and after... i've looked at other videos that don't include a before at all so you can't really gauge what it'll sound like once installed... thanks again!

During install, it looks centered in the exhaust cutout, but it looks very odd in photos and videos. We'll be doing some more photos and videos soon. Thanks to the 86CUP, SCCA, NASA, GTA, and other race series schedules and race/trackside support it's been challenging to get free time in to do the extracurriculars. :)

As requested here are videos of the fully stock 2017 exhaust and then just changing out to this catback. The day after recording I installed my nameless headers and front/over pipe but I haven't made a recording of that yet.

It is shockingly quiet on the highway even with the Nameless headers and front pipe. Its probably close to stock noise levels. It does open up when you get on it though.

Sub'd to see more videos/comparisons. I'm curious if it drones at all when you're just cruising or on the highway since that's a deal-breaker for me.

Zero drone. Having drone would mean the exhaust is a failure, because it would not have met the design goals.

Even the videos don't truly represent the sound of the exhaust; it's impossible to accurately record ANY exhaust, without some super expensive sound gear (production grade)

churchx 02-27-2017 08:20 PM

CSG Mike: + having playback gear of matching quality.

Ughh too bad on the 409 stainless.. It'll look awful in a winter or two up here in Canada.. Other than that, seems like the exact setup that I'm looking for to quiet down my Tomei ELH and overpipe.

I don't have the equipment to pull off a good recording while driving on the highway probably, but in my opinion even with my currently installed Nameless 4-2-1 headers and Nameless combination over/front pipe, it does not drone at 75 on the highway. Where my Perrin 2.5" was a little droney under those same conditions.
