Maybe that's because the mud daubers had built a nest in the carburetor, holding in the gas fumes; the mice had built a nest in the air cleaner, keeping the engine warm; the rats had chewed through the belts, so no resistance there; the dome light was burnt out; the oil rings had segmented allowing lots of oil on the cylinder walls and the compression rings were shot, reducing the compression ratio to about 5:1.

Could be possible. The battery does have 54,xxx miles on it now. I'll see where the level is at on the NoCo the next time I charge it.

Wonder if those that have issues (like me), have the Smart Key system????

You may consider having it load tested.

Personally, I won't mess around with "weak" batteries. Once they stumble, I replace them.

Nothing is worse that being somewhere you're not supposed to be, at some time when you're supposed to be somewhere else, with someone you're not supposed to be there with ....... and your car won't start ...... :bonk:

Did you pick up on that little life hint, there @soulreapersteve ..... ??

Just like that, from dead batteries to dead hookers.

Smooth.

First it was Pikachu now it is Steve that you seem to be inviting to a remote place. I am beginning to worry about you.

Good point, I'll have to check that. I'll test it as soon as the weather is tolerable here. Thanks!
