Jackson and i believe Vortech are both Centrifugal type Superchargers. Generally these types of superchargers are a lot more tame down low. Past 5k RPM however they go like a rocket. Edelbrock (the one i have) is a twin screw type supercharger. Theres a bit more parasitic load however the power is built a lot more linear and you get a lot of torque down low and through the mid range. Your goal of 270 whp is a very very reasonable one and should be achievable with any of the superchargers you listed with the right bolt on mods and a good tune. I havnt Dyno'd mine yet but i should be hitting around that number. Someone in my area dyno'd 250 with the Edelbrock on stock everything and a very conservative CARB tune (we are in California) and with crappy CA 91 Octane. My other friend running the Jackson SC with stock everything and 91 Octane and made 230 whp with the Delicious Flash n Go tune. |
Here is mine, its a sprintex 210 with e85
Been really happy with it, but getting a ride/driving different types of superchargers will help you decide what you want. [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pd2pmz0Yg3c"]Supercharged FRS Dyno Pull at Mod Auto & ModBargains - YouTube[/ame] |

Torque is FLAT haha, basically 2.5k to redline Car feels really quick. Obviously there are faster cars out there, but it was enough to beat a camaro ss (probably a 2010 or 2012) from 60mph roll. Tons of fun, and sounds really good. |

Ride quality as in suspension? Well I had st coilovers before, and they were decent. For the price, awesome. I'd buy them again if looking for something cheap. Supercharger+tune (and flex fuel kit) alone was about $4k and all self installed Depending on miles/condition, the clutch might need to be replaced at those power levels too. Not too cheap lol |

I want to FlexFuel for mine as well as i'd be hitting the 320 whp range but i'd also need a new clutch and fuel injectors. |
if I was going to sc I would go with edlebrock
