anyone try to fit 15's on yet?

i havent had a chance to mount up my old 15X7 Kosei K1's

anyone try 15's on the car yet?

It may depend on the design of the 15" rim. Rims used for rally racing will likely fit. I have no idea about the Kosei rims.

Any 15" that fits on the WRX SHOULD fit.

I've thought about 15s, but i've had trouble finding a good size 15'' tire. At least on TireRack.

I'd love to see this... someone try it!

I've been thinking about it. I've got a set of 15x7 slipstreams on my winter beater, the bolt pattern is right, but the offset will probably move the center of the wheel out increasing scrub radius and causing the car to lose some of it's stability on uneven pavement, something I like a lot about subarus suspensions. Having 13ish pound wheels would be nice though.

I've thought about smaller wheels for weight savings, but noticed the higher profile tires needed are heavier (tirerack tire specs page) and cancel out wheel weight savings. I am back to 17" or maybe even 18" with lower profile tires won't weigh much more using same/similar wheels and tires widths. I am back to the drawing board...:(

I want the smaller tire possible to have the maximum traction in the snow and be able to park on the street and leave easily, so I was thinking to put some 15 inch but not sure I will clear the brake if I can I'm thinking about some 165-55-15 whit studs, yea winter is rough here...,do you guy's have other suggestion? Maybe rally wheel to increase the high of the car ? I don't care about handling and wrong speed on the speedometer my only concern is traction, any suggestion will be welcome

what do you mean by "rally wheels"

to me that just means small, heavy, but sturdy

like Speedline Coarse, heavy little nuggets but they will last you a lifetime.

My idea was:

Front: 15x6.5 + 195/55-15
sidewall = 4.22
total diameter = 23.44

Rear: 16x7.0 + 205/50-16
sidewall = 4.04
total diameter = 24.07

But I may just do the 16x7 + 205/50-16 front and rear. Probably Sumitomo HTR-ZIIIs, not sure of the wheels yet.
