'17 Toyota 86 Euro spec model - NA build/Street/Track

A bit about myself, I grew up in New Zealand, and owned AE92 FXGT Hatchback (HB) as a daily driver, and AE111 Trueno 20v Blacktop as a track car... Worked in & out of the automotive industry for around 7 years... Now I'm back living in Taiwan for the past 11 years...

After 10 years of owning an Ford Focus HB in automatic since new... I finally got around getting a manual 86... Choosing a manual "new" car in Taiwan is somewhat limited and annoying, it's either, WRX STi, BRZ or 86 and that's it... Sucks really...
Since the face lift 86 only came out towards end of last year (in Taiwan), I guess it was the only affordable choice as I plan on putting a few mods on it and didn't want to spend too much on the actual car (budget issues)...

The main difference between US and Euro (LHD only) spec is that we don't get the performance (red top) upgrade and the final drive upgrade... We only have the SACHS dampers and cosmetic upgrades... which sucks again...

Below is when I just got my car...

I'm curious how much the car cost in Taiwan. I keep hearing that cars are stupid expensive in the Asian countries. I have an uncle living in China and I remember when he bought a car 10 years ago everyone was saying how rich he was and stuff lol.

Id recommend looking into the ace header. So far its looks to be best option imo. Also, when you get the amuse r1 be sure to take some vids, there aren't enough of them out there. Car is looking good so far.

Makes you appreciate living in the USA. And as citizens it's our job to make sure the American government doesn't let that change!:party0030:

Well for my 86, it was the manual limited model, so 1.3 million TWD around 41,500 USD list price and with a bit of negotiating and haggling... I got it down to around 38,000 including tax and registration... which is similar to NZ pricing of 52,000 NZD

I did look up on ace headers and surprisingly it's made locally in Taiwan, so I might contact them later on if they can make up a custom header to my specifications

Grats on the new car! Have to also say the wrap looks awesome. Some gold wheels would look pretty awesome as a match to the wrap.

As for the comments on prices, they pretty much align with AU also. Being the two extremes, America gets the really cheap pricing and EU gets royally shafted.
