Tax season upgrades? (USA)

Yes, as the title says everyone. Have you done your taxes? Are you getting enough back to splurge on some upgrades? If so what are you getting?

Did mine today and I'm planning on headers! (JDL catted UEL).

Mine will probably go to what I was already planning on getting for my new BRZ.

So WeatherTech floor mats for the driver and passenger sides. Debating about changing the sideview mirrors to the better concave ones (I think that's the correct shape).

No, not getting enough back for much, but getting a '17 BRZ anyway! Haha, it's been a long time coming, though, so I don't think that counts.

Ok, scratch that, I got myself some Maxpider floor mats as my tax-gift. :D

Mine is going towards paying off my credit card, because LAST spring I went from buying one set of wheels and tires...

...to buying TWO sets of wheels and tires... and coilovers... and LCAs... and camber plates... and a tow hitch... and a tire trailer.

So yeah. Still recovering, lolol.

Sounds like how trips to Wal Mart usually go. Haha. I'm sure it is worth it though!

If your getting a big refund you need to learn about taxes and withholdings.

Some people still think of it as an interest free savings plan... refund should really have you looking at your with holdings, so you can put that money where it will earn interest instead.

True. I'm terrible at setting small amounts of money aside. So the refund is kinda cool in a way. And hey..may to hijack my thread with tax withholdings 101! :p

I managed to get mine jacked up for 2016 so I'm getting more refund than I'd like...not sure what happened there.

And now back to your regularly posted thread...

My refund is going towards an all-new suspension set up! RCE T2 + Camber plates, SPL toe arms, SPL LCA, Whiteline Endlinks. I've been saving up for a bit but the refund means I don't have to spend as much of that money for it! Plus my company bonus comes in February too..it's a good month for me to splurge on car parts :party0030:

If I get any back it goes right over to the property taxes bin. It's always a crapshoot whether I get a bit back or owe a bit to the feds, though I usually get a few bucks back from the state. Not complaining though, the game works out this way because I can usually afford stuff without the magic windfall that comes with the return of an interest free loan to the government.

I did splurge recently on tools to let me do my own suspension setup work. About 400lbs worth. Now no spending till that first installment of property axes are paid. At least March brings 3 paychecks.
