Accelerated Performance's BRZ w/ Brake Upgrade

So after I saw a few of the Japanese companies have some, I figured I would give it a go as well.

I wanted the extra brakes for our Turbo Kit Customers so I'm ironing out a bolt on kit currently that won't brake the bank to much.

This Picture has the super expensive DBA 5000 Series lightweight rotors. These won't be included in the kit but can be an option.

This should be interesting...all the other BBKs on the market are crazy expensive.

Will you be using repurposed Subie parts for this perhaps? :)

Nice work as always Don.

Did you do anything with rears?

Don@Accelerated 07-13-2012 10:57 AM

Not sure how I want to handle this yet. Reman parts finish isn't great. Looking into new as we speak.

Looks like your bleeder is at the bottom of the calipers, will you be removing the plug and installing a bleeder at the top? I like this option, be interested in how the brake bias is affected as well as brake pedal feel. Do you think it will need a new proportioning valve and/or master cylinder?

Don@Accelerated 07-13-2012 11:50 AM

Thats not even the right caliper. That ones broken :)

I wouldn't think we would need to change the bias. Should be 100% front w/ restricted rear. They are usually like that.

Updates? Is this an Sti setup?

jadewbj 08-10-2012 12:38 PM

Updates please. I like the idea of an affordable bolt on kit a lot.

I don't think i'll mess with it. I can sell the AP Brake Setups for slightly more than this and I truly like there calipers better.
