Motor Authority: "Subaru won't offer a turbocharged, STI, or convertible version."

For this generation anyway. Not overly familiar with their website, however they were linked from Yahoo. Seems like the usual BS speculation. Supposedly confirmed via Subaru. I think this information would shock absolutely no one, but figured I would pass it along.

i realized a long time ago this car will end up like the 370Z where no major changes will be made and it will be the pretty much same thing every year

Fixed that for you.

Perhaps they'll eventually be like the WRX where every model year is the same, so buying used costs you about as much as buying used :P Seriously though, I'm pretty happy with the mid-cycle changes, and looking forwarding to modding mine after the warranty expires for FI or whatever.

I agree. It prevents me from buying a new one in a few years!

Yep, and even if they do make one it will only be available overseas. They finally made a wagon version of the most recent wrx and then only offered it in Europe.

I know it's a stupid thought but I wish Americans actually gave a damn about cars.

To be fair, the 2nd Gen Eclipse was nice. So was the last generation of the 240/Silvia.
