Getting a catback: Invidia Q300 or Borla?

Hello there, I'm planning on getting a catback for my 14 BRZ. After listening to several videos and considering the cost, I decided to get one between Invidia Q300 and Borla, both catback.

I like the Titanium tips of Invidia but also think Borla is louder, deeper and has more resonance...

Just wanna ask is there anyone had or heard both of them before and what's your thoughts?

Which one should I choose? Any idea will be appreciated!

Thank you!

They both are great and those where my options too, but I went with Perrin CBE instead. Best of both worlds. Only loud when go WOT otherwise just a bit louder at idle then stock exhaust.

I asked about the Q300 about a week ago. Some interesting responses in here.

Don't know much about Borla, but I've heard a few complaints about their build quality.

If you have a little extra money go with the Perrin 2.5" resonated. The thread I linked above helped me make that decision and it truly is a best of both worlds exhaust.

I can tell you from experience Perrin is much louder than the Q300.

Depends what you are going for and what your future plans for the car are.

I started out with Invidia N1 and recently switched to the Q300 since I am not going to have catless headers and the N1 was just going to be way to loud with the opened up headers.

Perrin as others have posted....nuff said. ;)

I just installed my Q300 2 weeks ago, and I was very surprised by how quiet it is (With stock headerback). Literally little to no difference from stock imho (which I like). I purchased an OFT from a member last week who had the borla catback paired with a borla header and stock frontpipe, it was pretty loud esp when giving it throttle.
If you want something that isn't going to attract much attention and has more of a stock exhaust note, then the Q300 is the way to go. I would also add that as far as weld quality and material finish goes, the Invidia is the best of the 3. If your looking for something on the higher db side then go with the borla. I would agree with other input that the Perrin seems to be the best of both worlds, quiet and tame under normal crusing, and it opens up when you want it to.

I wonder where in this picture 3" Q300 can be placed though vs Perrin 2.5"

either go with Q300 or Perrin if you're going to get header.

Me too, kind of. I have a catless EL header and had the resonated 3" Perrin. Way to loud. Neighbors complained. Now with the Q300 and same carless header it's nice and mellow. No more complaints from neighbors.

If I ran my car with the ACE header I had just came in and that N1 the neighbors could of bitched all they wanted I just wouldn't of been able to hear them. I ran it last yea with catless front pipe and it was loud as f.

Thank you so much for this input! Really helpful!

how about Borla? Have you had any experience with Borla CBE?
Thanks for the reply!
