This is exactly how TJ Hunt makes me feel. Just the sight of him on "recommended" on youtube make me enraged.

If I recall correctly, most of the whizzy Toyota engines of the past were modified by Yamaha.
The GT2000 and Lotus/Toyota powerplants for example.

Toyota can do it, but it's not their core competence.

I thought there was a Yamaha connection to the 86s cylinder heads?

I think most of his points are fair, dez has contributed quite a bit of knowledge to the forums albeit it probably wasn't the best idea to be an early adopter of FI but somebodies gotta do it I suppose.

For the price point...

Its easy to mod.
Fun to drive.
Great to look at.

I might have missed it. Did he say this is his since he washed 3 times or that it isn't his because Turbowski said he'll never see it again?

I honestly enjoyed his review, he makes solid points on what the car is about. Thank god comments on his video hasn't been fully blown Manual vs auto battle since he reviewed an auto tranny one and he was pretty honest about his thoughts on it without slamming the tranny.

The car was designed to create an exciting driving experience without risking your drivers license. More power would require a host of changes that would add cost. Lets drive our cars and be happy.

@Dezoris - I personally enjoy your car reviews and recently subscribed on Youtube for the content. The Ariel Atom video, M3 video, and even the FRS videos were all very informative. Production quality is super high and you are kind of a d1ck, which is great, journalists need a bit of an attitude or an identity sometimes. Keep the content coming!

I'm a little shocked that Dezoris is getting a lot of flak for what is pretty much a mostly positive video of the 86. Now I get that his and Turbowski's comments seem off-putting at first, but I took it as part of the charm of his videos.

I personally liked it, and agreed with most of his comments (though I admit the Kia Soul Turbo being faster is a bit questionable, but even so, I don't care if it was). He's technical and doesn't hold back on what's flawed.

Keep up the good work @Dezoris.

He's been getting press cars somehow.

Edit: I say somehow, his videos get good traffic for a car channel on Youtube, he blows more well known sites like R&T, Car and Driver, and Autoblog out of the water and even seems to average better than Jalopnik.
