Great car

I normally haven't liked the new Camaros...

But damn that one looks amazing.

Looks mean as hell.

TylerLieberman 01-21-2017 01:14 PM

I hate that they put that matte black on hood on it. Makes it look cheap.

Everything else about the car is rad though. A performance bargain for sure

funwheeldrive 01-21-2017 05:08 PM

Is a regular painted hood an option with this trim?

Not on the 1le package . Factory wrap

Teseo 01-21-2017 05:18 PM

Looks like something Bruce Wayne would drive it

Ew. Seriously? Wrap? That's pretty dump that they just wrap it. At the same time, it would be nice if the wrap can just be peeled off.

This car is a serious deal for the money. More pictures!

Nice! Looks mean In black. So how does one configure the 1LE V8 package on chevy's website? Looks like you pick the SS package and then each piece of the 1LE package?

Atropine 01-21-2017 11:01 PM

That steering wheel looks nice and chunky.

How does it feel?

Also the shifter too...

I need to quit coming into this thread....just did a build an price on the Chevy website...

There is 2 feet of snow outside...

Also, the pictures I have seen of the Camara gauge cluster looks bad ass.
It still have the two main square-ish ones for MPH and RPMs...and the 4 square clusters for other stuff like Oil pressure, fuel, etc?

They did a really good job on the new Camaro (want to say 2016+?)

Gabzor 01-22-2017 07:25 AM

One of the best cars for the price.. v8, even the v6 is decent, mag ride, 6 speed, can't go wrong..

How's the blindspots in this version?

Who8myrice 01-22-2017 10:36 AM

Can you give us some details ?
Did you try the v6 Le ? I been hearing how amazing it is.
I am going to get back in to fun car this year and just curious.

EAGLE5 01-22-2017 11:31 AM

Camaros look best in black. The Stingray looks best in white, actually. Possibly the only car I've ever felt that way. Problem is, if you're sitting in a black Camaro and a white Stingray drives by, you can't see it. Or anything. The damn windows are too small to see out of. A car to be seen in, not drive.

Factory hood underneath is painted.

No, but you can just peel the black wrap off.

It can be. They paint all the cars on the same line, apply the hood wrap to the 1LEs later.

If I ever bought one, I would do that the instant I got home from the dealer. Pull it straight into the garage, pull out the heat gun, and get to work.

Didn't try v6. The way I see it you're going to want more power later down the road so get the v8 :party0030:

Wow congrats!! Looks pretty awesome - do these sit lower than the standard SS? I saw one of those and it had the 4wd effect a bit. Can't beat the 1LE for performance/$, and it was really nice inside. The only caveat (and probably reason I'm not driving one vs my FR-S) is the interior feels super tight. I mean it's a much bigger car than the 86, but I felt much more cramped sitting in an SS - my head just about touched the roof and I just felt generally claustrophobic. Do you find this when going between your 86 and the 1LE?

I haven't noticed a stance difference yet. I'll park next to ss and get back to you on that . The cabin is definitely a little tighter then frs . I don't notice the switch to much small guy fit in both comfortably :happyanim:.

Hard to compare both cars :iono: . The raw v8 power from ss is awesome though :party0030:. One things for sure the handling of 1le is much smother and tighter then frs.
