Everyday Driver tests OFT

Everyday Driver just published a nice video review of their long term FRS. The documented the improvements (dyno and road) provided by the OpenFlash Tablet and FT86 Speedfactory catted header and exhaust.

It's worth watching :)

Great video. Shows two performance directions from two angles. Nice to have so much choice on this platform. Thanks man.

Great video! I debate the point of FI on a car with a stock header though. Pretty sure the difference in performance and drivability would of been game changing.

At the very least its a nice affirmation of my desire to stick with N/A, but in the long run I don't think either is really much more expensive than the other.

I cringed a bit when they apparently went WOT on a dyno immediately after flashing. Who needs fuel trims, eh?

things that make you go hmm.

Jackson Racing says 280+ hp on their site. This is only 200hp. What an I missing?

Tuning. Nobody said it has to make 280, just that it can if tuned to that point. Not everyone wants to overpower their chassis.

why? 02-01-2017 06:19 AM

elevation. They are at 4k. Not exactly the elevation Jackson racing tested it. And I would be shocked if that number was not at the crank.

Actually on their site it says 280 with the tune that comes with the package.

It also gives the option to tune it yourself, so the 280 capable tune is not a requirement.

Elevation as already said. It's a supercharger, so limited by pulley speed and not by a wastegate setup like a turbo. Turbo car would have made the same power regardless of elevation theoretically.
