my ECU bricked

hello

after doing same coding in my rom . and..... bricked
i used different defs refx from what I edit . so bricked
i failed in two refx . of is main refx and other is sub refx
sub refx is easy to failure . and tje ecu keep working with wrong data in mine = ""

2nd refx is main ecu calculating that i bring it from edit code . this is make my ecu bricked

after i checkd what is the problem . i found tnis refx is to bad code to xxx

checksum = wrong = bricked ECU

now what i should do on this ??

replacing my ecu $$$ bad
soild the chip and flash it

any good idea

can i use OP2 obd pins to connect to txd and rxd??

ok we managed to get a guys ecu working a few weeks ago after he flashed ecu with incorrect checksum

Remove battery connecion from car for at least 30 nminutes

Then reconnect battery on First turn on of ignition flah the ecu with a known good rom srock rom is best

You can also replace ecu with secong hand ecu see my post on replacining ecu with a used ecu linked in tactrix thread

Read link first
Check battery volts are good tactrix wont flash if low battery

Then remove battery connection 30 minutes and try reflash of a stock rom

If still no good then you will need to replace ecu its not possible yet to sh boot mode the ecu as no one has read the boot mat area that you need for sh boot mode

Use a old ecu from a wrecked car any 86 or brz ecu will work auto or manual

Use procčedure here

not work watchdog soo angry

aagun 01-18-2017 04:35 PM

any update flashing hole the microcomputer ??? i think i will bricked a lot of ecus for now
i am planning to do more patch so that will made dam on me

i removed my ecu i could do anythings to shoot that WDT

steve99 01-18-2017 05:31 PM

Yes you would rhink ecu watchdog would save you by kicking ecu into user boot mode but it does not always work for some reason

Maybe try asking the tactrix guys they were trying to read the 0000_7fffff boot area as ztan found aithout this area you cannot recover ecu with sh boot mode as this area is erased as soon as you acces sh boot mode

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=95334

Otherwise only option is used ecu crom a wrecked car new ecu very expensive

steve99 01-18-2017 11:53 PM

Their is one more option that i have not tried.

this involves removing ecu and UN-soldering one of the pins on the ECU.

The idea is to put the ecu manually into "User Program" mode ie mode =2 not SH Boot mode mode 1

as soon as you enter SH Boot mode both the user rom and the boot rom will be erased instantly so do not configure mda/mdb pins to enter this mode

so we want User program mode. mode 2

download SH72531 user manual here if you do not already have it

https://www.renesas.com/document/hw-...ent-prd-search

Section 3 describes user modes.
Mode 0 is the ecu operating mode ie both MDA and MDB pins logic 0 or 0v

Do NOT set processor to enter BOOT mode this will instantly erase both user and boot mat areas see section 23

It should be ok to enter USER Boot mode or USER Program modes
ie modes 2 and 3

Block diagram of SH72531 in section 1.2

MDA pin 103
MDB pin 97

See section 3.1 operation modes

Try setting user Program mode mode 2

this will require pin MDA pin 103 to be unsoldered from circuit board, this will be difficult as pins are very small.

If you are lucky thier will be an internal pull up resistor so this pin will float to +5v (logic 1) once unsoldered. But it may be better to connect this pin directly to a 5v supply on ecu board ie a Vcc pin

Then plug ecu back into car and see if you can program it.

If sucessull you will then need to remove ECU again and re solder the pin so the ecu will go back to mode 0 operation.

Again do not ever enter mode 1 else everything will be erased.

If still no good try using USER BOOT Mode mode 3 you will need to unsolder both MDA and MDB pins and connect them to +5v on board ie Vcc pin

Table 3.2 Operating Mode Pin Settings
Pin Setting
Mode No. Mode Name MDB MDA
Mode 0 MCU single-chip mode 0 0 Normal ecu operating mode
Mode 1 Boot mode 1 0 SH Boot mode (do not use)
Mode 2 User program mode 0 1 Try this mode first
Mode 3 User boot mode 1 1 Try this if mode 2 unsucessfull

You are an absolute madman and I love you for it.

aagun 01-19-2017 10:52 AM

i removed the ecu yesterday and today i will check same outlets

the lines soo thin .

and i will search for good soild area

aagun 01-19-2017 03:12 PM

HERE the update

do thin

aagun 01-19-2017 03:37 PM

i found ztan ground MDA 103 . is that enough to zero it
or i should unsolded it

aagun 01-19-2017 04:15 PM

what my next plan un solder 103 pin MDA from the board
then try to flash

i hope it works

dc the 103

do i have to connect it to 5v ?
