Fuel Regulator

Throwing in a dw300 fuel pump but keeping stock injectors for my sbd400x kit. Is there any reason i would need to add a larger regulator or adjustable regulator. Cant find alot of info on this for our cars. Also how many cc are our stock injectors?

Stock injectors are 228CC. This car has a returnless fuel system, so you don't have the typical fuel regulator you traditionally change in the fuel line. The regulator here is attached to the fuel pump housing, and you do not typically change it unless going for an aftermarket return fuel system.

Sweeeet. Thanks man that is probably the best response I have ever received in the first reply to a thread.... Well Done sir. only 228cc? That seems crazy small to be holding these cares up to 300hp... is this because of the returnless fuel system?

You welcome 😀😀.

It holds this cars to 300hp comfortably because we have eight injectors. Four port injectors that are the ones at 228, and four direct injectors that are 400ish something equivalent CC. The DI's run on a separate fuel pump driven by a cam.

AHAH!. so my end goal one day is 350 whp. All i should need are some 700cc injectors with this dw300 pump to have the fuel system happy. or is 700cc an over kill? Also with that DI system for under 350 do i need to do anything there? new pump or rails for DI system?

Don't worry about the DI system, there's nothing aftermarket for it.

If you plan on staying on pump gas, don't worry about the injectors. If you plan on going E85 and higher power, then upgrade injectors.

At what power point would you say do injectors?

Stock motor is limited by knock when running pump gas to a level which you won't be able to upgrade injectors for more fuel, and that is around 350.

Now this is not end all be, some tuners have increased the pumping of the DI pump via the tune and used more injector duty cycle to support higher power, what I'm saying I'd the general rule of thumb, not set in stone.
