Splitting Large Threads?

In the Subaru Legacy forums I'm a part of, there are a handful of long-running threads (such as the 'what did you do to your car today' thread) that will pretty much continue into perpetuity.

To resolve the issue that occurs when it becomes big enough, where the page count is off, and the thread starts acting a bit wonky due to its size, the moderators split the thread off into "what did you do to your car today - volume 2" at a certain point, and everyone continues where they left off in a new thread that isn't all borked.

Any chance of that being done for threads on this forum, such as the one I mentioned?

That is what happened to Random but it was off by about a 100 pages.

Once it gets around to around 2000 pages on default settings (or 1000 with max posts per page) is when it tends to become a problem iirc unless hella stuff has been deleted like the last random thoughts thread. If its really off before that just message or tag @ichitaka05 to close it. Then someone just needs to start a new one

Like other two have said, just let us mods know & we'll close it, so you can start new one.
