Velox Camber Plates ***Official Thread***Unboxing/Install/Review

So, I recently switched coilovers and needed camber plates...you guys probably know some of the options by now, but Velox were on the top of my list for several reasons, but they are a HUGE supporter of our platform and they really invest a lot dedication to motorsports/performance

Velox Motorsports Camber Plates/Top hats
-Lightweight
-Adjustable
-Made in USA (I really like this one)
-Forum supporters (also, big one for me)
-Function
-Affordable-HUGE PLUS!

Here is the unboxing video:

Info straight from ft86speedfactory:

CONSTRUCTION:
Billet 6061-T6 machined aluminum construction
Stainless hardware used throughout
Wide Series Spherical Bearing, PTFE Lined, 440 Stainless Ball, 17-4 PH Stainless Race
Clinch Press In Studs for OEM like install

FEATURES:
Lightweight design (save 15 oz per side)
Quick and painless adjustments
Reduce compliance for an enhanced feel with the road
All aluminum pieces are anodized for corrosion resistance
Up to -3 degrees of camber at stock ride height without camber bolts
Designed, machined, and assembled in the U.S.A.

Dang good, IMO. They work with stock struts OR anything that would normally re-use the factory top hat. So...
-Ohlins
-Bilsteins (B6/B8/B14/B16)
-KWs V1 and V3
-RCE Zero and 2
-Stock Damper/strut
-ST Suspension
-Koni Yellow Sport
-did we miss any?...let me know and I'll update this

Straight out of the box they feel very good, no rough edges, anodizing looks nice (comes in different colors fyi) and they look like they'll do exactly what they're supposed to do-provide adjustable camber! All machining is really good on these, and they just feel like they're really good quality.

Problems with Ohlins and Velox

Hi, according to the customer support at FT86Factory these Velox camber plates are not supported to work with the Ohlins. I had problems with mine, got scratches on the spring coil perches from the camber screws. Did you do something special to make them work? Are they still working for you.?

hey I responded on youtube, but I'm not sure why they would say that as Ohlins are designed to work with factory top hats, which velox/versus plates are compatible with. Did you assemble everything as shown in the video?

I didn't need to do anything special to make these work! Just parts from Ohlins and Velox Versus plates.

It will be worth it! Plus you can always use them on coilovers if you ever make the jump!

how much negative camber were you able to get out of them?

-3, and that was without touching/using anything on the bottom of the coilover (aka crashbolts/camber bolts)
