Anyone use/have Pandora integrated into stock BRZ?
Anyone use/have Pandora integrated into stock BRZ? I was wondering how well it works and how much data it uses per minute as I don't have unlimited data on my phone anymore (should have probably kept the plan). I may consider either buying a used Subaru deck from someone or an aftermarket one if it works well and doesn't suck up too much data.
I'm currently on a 1gb monthly plan and typically use 1/4 to 1/2 of my data. |
I stream Pandora often in my car and it will blow through your data.
I use the iPhone 6 with the charging cable to our USB port. If the music is playing, then you plug it in. You can select iPod and it should show your music title and being playing through your car Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I use Spotify while driving. On a monthly basis I average 2.5-3GB for everything.

I don't stream any music from my car but I listen occasionally and always surf the internet and I average 2 GB/month... with that said straight from pandora they say it will be 33 hours of streaming to reach a GB...damn they stream in low quality

Verizon had a special today and I pay $2 less ($51vs$53) but get 2GB now instead of 1GB.

2 gb plan?
Ffs just get an unlimited plan. I have already used 3.5 gb this month, lol. Would hate always thinking about data charges. |
im with tmobile. unlimited streaming from pandora, youtube, netflix, etc. :D

Go with an aftermarket deck.
It's a pain in the ass to get it working reliably on the stock starlink radio. |
Tmobile♡
idk , i use pandora everytime i drive, and when im with my patients (like now) nd leave a short 32gb usb for whenever i lose service or for whenever i havent cleaned out my phone nd its lagging so much my songs sounds like a techno remix ... but yeah it works awesome but uses approx 4-5gb a month... :/ maybe metropcs? Same towers as tmobile :D http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2017...20a0b85505.jpg |
I use Spotify with their download feature so it don't eat away at my data while 'streaming'
|
I don't stream music in my car but have the ability to with my Pioneer NEX head unit. I pay 9.99/month for a Sirius Mostly Music subscription. I'm also a Spotify subscriber but only use it for streaming music at home and at my office. Keep in mind with Spotify, if you use the download portion of their service, you're also giving up space on your phone by doing so. So, if you have a phone with a relatively small amount of space, i.e.: 16gb, it's going to fill up fast. If you plan on keeping Pandora, I wouldn't go with anything less than 4gb a month to start. You can always adjust it the following month once you get an idea of what you'll be using.
