Making some changes to exhaust, thoughts?
So, I previously posted that I wasn't very happy with my current setup.
So, I am here asking about a few ideas I have and what you guys think (I'm new to this engine/car so be gentle.) Basically, I have a lot of rasp from the front pipe/catback I have installed. I am planning to add a UEL header to get some of that boxer sound that is missing from the exhaust. I am debating on choice of front pipe. I am thinking about either the HKS dual resonated or the Berk catted front pipe. There's room on the Berk pipe if I decide to add a resonator. I am also planning to cut the pipe running to the muffler and having a shop weld another resonator in there. So, do you think triple resonator (2 front pipe, one on catback) or double resonator/cat will provide better sound. I don't care if its crazy loud, don't care if it smells. Just trying to nail down the best sound I can get without having to tear the entire exhaust system off and start over. Thanks |

No one knows what "better" sounds like to you. Once you add the UEL header, everything changes. More cats and more resonators = less rasp. |
