IMO the stock wheel gap is a bit much for this type of car. If it were some generic sedan, I could see it. I'm dropped about 1" right now on RCE T2's and think it's perfect. Keeps the suspension geometry close to ideal and doesn't look like a 4x4.

:slap: ....... MY FR-S, does NOT look like a 4x4 ...... :mad0259:

Been there done that. It looks great but its a complete and total annoyance for a car you plan to drive on a real road. A track car is the only kind of car I would do that to. Airbags would be the only way I would lower a car that I use on the road.

Exactly what this guy said. I had a '94 Accord on coilovers and was lowered, not slammed, but enough to where I'm looking at every little thing in the road trying to make sure that I don't bottom out on whatever it was.Total pain in the ass and I'll more than likely never do it again, unless I move somewhere that has better roads than Chicago.I'm thinking Arizona or Nevada would have pretty nice roads.

If I still lived there, I would go a bit lower than I am now. In SE FL, driveway ingress/egress was nearly non-existent, and obviously no frost heave. There is a lot more negotiating to be done up here in NC.

I never understood why people would prefer no wheel gap over having the wheel actually match the arch of the wheel well. I also dont wanna scrape all over NYC.

I ended up getting bigger tires to fill in the gap a bit without losing any clearance. Some might say this looks like 4x4 fitment but I love it.

That might be true but I would rather go right over speed bumps and dips in driveways then have to drive sideways over them.

Meh, you get used to it. I angled my wife's SUV over some railway track last week. She was all "what are you doing?".
