Anyone have a night photo of the 2017 dash?

I was wondering if anyone has a photograph of the 2017 Limited BRZ (m.t.) at night?

also wondering if the dash instruments truly dim to near 0 or they are like most toyota dashes that are laser beams burning holes in faces on pitch black roads?

Thank you,
Please show a photo if possible and explanation. There are none of these cars within 70 miles of my house and 70 miles is over two hours of driving around the city here.

Pretty sure this dash is also made by Jeco which is a Denso / Toyota OEM.

wow that is like temperature of the sun white.

jeez. DOes it dim a LOT? That looks dreadful :(

the wrx looks great at night. Not much else is nice on the wrx interior wise, but the lighting is great for true darkness.

Don't think you could ever tell unless you sit inside a facelift BRZ in real life at night.

Any picture or video taken have metered light / exposure compensation which is adjusted either automatically or manually.

If you can't deal with white backlit at night then you probably either need to buy a pre-facelift BRZ or stick with Bimmers (I think they got it right with the all red).

I don't have a photo handy but, yes, it dims quite low. Certainly not blinding.

damn. White toyota lighting. that's pretty much the worst I have seen. I have to test drive one at night now. That's like death knell for a car. That and a head rest that does not allow for relaxed vertical position. Most slightly push you forward just to get some stupid "safety" crash points extra.

little things that make a car unpleasant.

Here's some pics I took last night, I didn't have my camera handy so I took them with my phone. Here's the dash lights at the dimmest setting.

As you can see it dims quite a bit darker than the handbrake and seat-belt light, luckily the hill-start assist light isn't as bright.

Here's some pictures of it on max brightness for comparison.

The dash gets pretty bright, although this I think forces daytime brightness for the displays which is way to bright for at night. Sorry the pics didn't turn out the best, and obviously this is the Canadian model but I think the only difference is the infotainment screen and the handbrake light, but idk for sure.

Of course it is the Canadian model, look at the outside temperature in picture one.

That was very nice of you :)

Hm, seems that it dims very low. The comparison of the bright vs dimmed is large.

Does the hill assist just stay on? Never saw one.

Annoyingly, yes it does. It'd be nice if it only lit up when the system was engaged.

I should mention that the dimmer has a notched setting on the dial for max brightness and is only for cloudy daytime use.

Here is a video I just shot that fairly accurately shows the brightness settings. I leave it set about half-way. The setting at the end of the video is where I leave it at, and I like it dimmer than most while driving at night. Certainly not going to be an issue with blinding you imo.
