Worth tuning an automatic FRS?

Hey guys, i'm kindda new to this but my dad recently got me an FRS for graduation but it's an automatic because I daily commute to LA a lot so i'm always in traffic. I have always been a fan of Rocket Bunny kit but would it be worth it if I start fixing up my car but it's an automatic? thoughts?

Drive the car. Get used to it. Do some research. The forum answer your question it will.

There are plenty of "tuned" automatics out there.

its only changing how the engine runs, you may be less likely to notice the increase as compared to manual due to gearing.

cant answer for sure cause mt>at

so you got an automatic because you will be stuck in traffic pretty much most of the time...what exactly would you do with a tuned 400HP+ car stuck in traffic?

seems like a waste

Congrats!
Ask your Dad, since he got it for you. I don't think he will like you messing with a brand new car. Asking him is the only way to find out what he thinks.

Depends on the Father, I'd be right there by his side.

This isn't a dating website and besides how do you even know his father likes you when you two haven't met?

Keep it stock for DD, buy Miata (in manual) for a fun project car.

I drive an auto. I love it!

I have added a few things to make mine "better".
Tint
New speakers + sub
Wheels and tires
Lowered 1"
Leather interior

Under my hood is stock. I have had many modded cars, IMO, they are not as reliable and usually do not run as good as stock. Just saying...

If power is your number one concern, expect to spend tons of money. And possibly not have your car running for short (long) periods of time.

Good luck!

Where is my damn popcorn? There it is:popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:

I have an auto and I love it. Leave it stock and mod if after the 3 years warranty has passed. no go for RB kit...tearing up your fenders will drop the value of your car

wow, my parent never got me a car, i paid every cars out of my own pocket....congratz?
if you got an automatic because you stuck in traffic, then you dont like your car enough.
I drive a stick, and I stuck 1 hour to work in the morning and 1 hour going home 5 days a week and i enjoy it.

P.S You can do whatever the hell you like with your car without other's opinion

AT here as well, and I've had a half dozen MT's in my driveway over the years. Done with shoving in a clutch - makes as much sense as cranking a handle to start my car, vs pushing a button.

As to whether you should tune, I have only one comment: you have one cool dad!!

As for the RB kit - I couldn't live with walking up to my car everyday and seeing the 'rivets'.
