Original post:
Okay so hear me out... haha. When purchasing my FR-S I was roped into paying for leather seats... Which is fine. I really just wanted the car. They are going to be custom leather seats that (at least what they told me) I would be able to pick them to be however I want including logos, colors, and patterns. The saleman showed me some examples of the custom seats that the company they have do it and the seats were actually really nice. You can check out their website here:

OKAY. So here's my thing is that I'd rather have the stock seats than the leather ones. So if someone is interested in getting custom leather seats tailored to how they want them then please let me know. I am looking to also get your seats if at all possible since you'd obviously be taking mine... So seats+monies. I'm paying 2500 for the seats so please make an offer. Yes I'm aware that I'm a silly bastard for having paid so much, but it is what it is... so please don't make fun of me?

Also please preferably someone close enough that we can meet up to swap.
:thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks:

So it sounds like you haven't gotten the leather seat covers in yet.
It is probably just replacement upholstery as far as I know. Why don't you just have the dealer not install them, then just sell the leather itself? That way you can ship them to whoever buys them.

I didn't think that was even an option. The way I see it not all the users on the boards would be capable of reupholstering their own seats so that idea may not appeal to everyone, but if someone does want to do that then that's definitely something I would consider. Thanks! :respekt:

Well, with the money they save with shipping their seats both ways (my guess would be $100 or MORE each way) they can take the leathers to an upholstery shop. :D
To me upholstery is super simple to do. but that's just my opinion.
Just a suggestion.

Yeah totally. That's why I was hoping to get someone closer. I saw on our Norcal thread that there's like about 50 of us... And like myself, a lot of users may be a bit apprehensive about doing something like that themselves so an upholstery shop is a great idea! Hopefully someone is interested!

Cool, GLWS. Post up some pictures when you get them in, I'd like to see them.

First 2500 is a lot when the katzkin are only like 1199.... unless you are selling the seats already covered... and the front and back I mean. But they do make really nice stuff I used them in my SC300. What color and such are you getting and anyway to get them from them uninstalled?

Those look awesome. The custom 86 patch probably would have Inreased the cost of the seats, plus install, so you didn't end up paying that much over, maybe about $500 profit for the dealer.

Actually it was all built into the price so I could have had them put any logo I wanted on there. Fortunately the day I called in they had just received that specific logo. Otherwise the only choice would have been the FR-S logo or a few other ones, but this looked the best!

Nope no seat warmers. I think I'll live though. :P
