Interior noise after shutting off car
So I heard an electrical whirring noise when I turned off the car from my rear seats behind driver seat, lasted maybe 15-20 seconds then shut off, I caught the last ~3 seconds of it before it died off on video. Excuse the foul language in the video:
https://youtu.be/nuSIFZFl4To Any ideas? edit I think the youtube compression removed the noise from the video. On my phone speakers I can hear it clearly. It sounds like an electronic gadget that's on a bad pack of batteries if it helps. |
Haha... tha fuq wazzat?
I think you heard the evap canister vacuum pump. It'll even kick in if the car is completely off - keys out. |
@Ultramaroon makes sense I suppose. Does it use the electric fuel pump to do that? The sound seemed to be located right at the rear where I was pointing the camera.
It literally sounded like a speaker that's hooked up to a dying battery. Wizzzzzrrrrr |

@humfrz well I would have probably recognized it as a normal if it didn't sound like a toy running on a low battery
