Is it Possible to "Pre-Order" Subaru BRZ Series.Yellow
 

Hello guys,

I was just wondering if it was possible to "pre-order" the upcoming Subaru BRZ.Series Yellow. I live in Illinois and I really really want to ensure I get my hands on one.

So it it possible? If so, how should I go about this?

of course it is. Go talk to your dealer.

I was offered it two months ago.

They aren't available to "order" in the normal sense as they are allotted in limited numbers to certain dealers. Any dealer should be able to locate one through their system/district sales manager though.

What do you mean by that exactly? o.O

Means locate one. Means when they come out. If that particular local dealer isn't getting one. They can find one for you on their fancy computer and do a swap for it if the other dealer is willing. Or you just travel to a dealer that has one.

The release date is "2017" when in the year is not stated anywhere. There are only 500 being made and those will be spread across all the dealerships. As said these will not be available for factory orders. You need to talk to a dealer and get your name in before they come out. It may already be too late anyway since they all may be spoken for or reserved at the dealers.

You could put your money down and hope that a dealer gets allocation for a Yellow. You could probably do that with multiple dealers to better your chances. I would start with the largest volume dealer in your area, but people could have deposits down already. Good luck!

Ya, not sure that they will even know when it is coming but you can at least see if anybody will hold one for you when they do show up. Good luck!

So if I do manage to get a "deposit" down with at least 1 dealership, would that ENSURE my chances of getting one?

I would say no. That is why I recommended going to larger dealers. I went to THE largest in the country to give me the best chance. If your dealer gets a Yellow from Subaru and you are first on the list then you should be set. Those could be longer odds than you like though.
