I think it's a "fake" gauge. Subaru intentionally leaked their so called "confidential" document to confuse Toyota as they were planning the same marketing ploy for their so called GT86 which is supposedly related to the BRZee.. I don't have any tape recordings to prove this but can smell a "fake" gauge when I see one.

This is funny, the new 86 860 has this gauge and lets you view it while in motion. #FTWToyota

I remember you, the Toyota GT86 g-meter WORKS ALL THE TIME.

EDIT: Didnt see someone already answered

The fact that "random new people" crash themself starting at a gauge................... where i live , they sell 10 Toyota's and then MAYBE 1 Subaru, since it costs 3-4k Euro less
More chances to get an idiot who crashes himself with an 86 rather than a BRZ... amnd they still can look at the gauge while we can't

So how do we unlock it like the toyota?

tomm.brz 11-07-2017 05:56 AM

we don t

The thread derailed after the first page, so I stopped reading My 860 has two live G meters and I can toggle between .5 G scale and 1.0 G scale. One is just the dot, and the other has a trace of my max G.

tomm.brz 11-07-2017 12:04 PM

our Brz's instead only have one of those meters, the one with just the dot and it disappears as soon as the car's moving
We completely lack the live g-meter, bah...

It's not a G-meter though! Subaru specifically said it was an earthquake measuring device, so it wouldn't make sense for it to function whilst driving. duh!

Really? It doesn't leave a trace of the highest G in any direction pushing down from the first graph?

tomm.brz 11-07-2017 02:23 PM

I explain better, in your 86 when you are stationary, you have 2 Graphs, one with the "history" trace of the highest G and the other with a standing dot that moves while you are driving (live G meter). The first disappears when moving, leaving you with the real time G meter,
BRZ has only one graph with the trace of the highest G, that disappears too when driving

Tokay444 11-07-2017 03:39 PM

No. I can see both while driving my 86.

You toggle between the two or is live and trace up at the same time?

Tokay444 11-07-2017 03:59 PM

I can toggle between the two. Both are live all the time.
