you THINK is real time, but actually the same screen is available also on the GT86, and it disappears too on the GT86.. it just mark the maximum G reached ... the difference is the GT86 has ALSO another screen with actually real time G relevation which works all the time. This screen is totally missing in our BRZ, not relevant if it s UDSM, JDM or EU

Yes, that's correct. Gotta believe it was a post-design decision to disable it while moving. Wonder if NHSTA can get involved on this type stuff?

It doesn't make sense, if you consider the GT86 has 2 of these screens, of which one is working all the time, possibly distracting you.

Did somebody tried it with traction control in "track mode" ?

tomm.brz 01-15-2017 04:39 AM

no change
the only practical use for now is, i can check wheter the wheels are straight when i park the car

Worst confidential document ever since it has been available online since August! There are snips of it spread through this forum from as far back as June.

hmm I had a Lexus GSF recently and it has the same screen too, gotta recycle somewhere but I like that I have a Lexus gauge in my Subaru even if it's kinda wonky.

A harness?

The whole dash is canbus. There is no bypass. It'd have to be reprogrammed.

I'll assume so far no, but also keen to see if there is a way around this.

For the same reason that you can't use the menus in the nav while moving on any new cars. People smack these things up while they are paying attention so I can't even imagine the carnage if some guy new to the platform is staring at a meter while in a turn!
