$400 incentive in June on BRZ b/c of FR-S?

According to Autoblog post, there was a $400 incentive on the BRZ. What??? :confused0068:

I mean, do you really think any of the Subaru dealers actually extended this to customers? I'd assume the vast majority of the BRZ that were sold were ordered, but who knows?

The only incentive available on the Subaru BRZ right now is 2.9 financing, and that's crap compared to what you can get from your local credit union anyway.

Either that Blogger is just trying to drum up hits to his site, or he's got some special incentive that applies to a very specific situation not available to the rest of us.

The Autoblog cites a USA Today blog as its source, which sites truecar.com as its source. I went to Truecar's page on the BRZ incentives and it shows $0.

Looks like someone screwed up.

Autoblog got the article from http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/201...h-on-the-hood/ which pretty much had no facts backing the claim. On edmunds the only incentive on BRZ is financing at 2.9% http://www.edmunds.com/subaru/brz/20...ncentives.html .

There are some BRZ's under MSRP on autotrader...

2.9% on a suby brz? wow, that's cheap. In Canada, Toyota is taking Suby to the cleaners, 5.9% on a 4 year and on top of that the residual value is actually 1% lower. :eyebulge:

The numbers don't lie.

I think it speaks to the fact that most folks like the availability of the Scion and the cheaper pricetag over the BRZ.

Don't get me wrong - I was definitely considering a BRZ, but that all changed when I realized that I had to wait 6 months and pay an extra ~$2K for features that I didn't necessarily want.

2.9% is really high when you can get 1.9% from penfed.org

Local dealership here has had a manual, Limited, white BRZ on their lot for more than 3 weeks now. This is the only one they've gotten in. Salesman contacted me last week and said he could get $500. off MSRP for me....
