OFT/Turbo

Im planning on getting the OFT and eventually a turbo from Crawford. My question is when i get the Turbo would it be better to go with an ECUTek tune or would the OFT still work.. Note I am kind of slow with all this as i am just starting to get into the Car scene.

ECUTEK is far superior to OFT for FI applications. Just make sure you get a good tuner.

OFT will work, ECUTeK will work better. It's more flexible and allows for CPC input/output for integrating things like an EBCS, flex fuel, and the analog signal from a wideband. More things are adjustable on the fly with map switching, and you have a wider selection of tuners.

Regardless of which tuning solution you go with, don't go Crawford.

If you want to keep oft and go turbo your best bet would be the SBD turbo kit the oft guys have done heaps of those and the tune is pretty sorted.

It a pretty well priced kit as well.

Most tuners wont tune with oft as they cannot lock their tunes so they wont use it.

and most tuners like to use the system they are familiar with.

Oft guys now have flex fuel and Speed density tuning

Also true that ecutek has more high end features and many tuners will tune with ecutek system and much more support for wide variety of turbo kits

but for a budget turbo kit and tune the sbd kit and oft is very popular, ecutek guy also have tunes for sbd kit.

good thing about oft is you can onsell it, wheras you cannot onsell ecutek tune or licience only the cable kit

No boost control, just a normal ROM.
