alcantara wrap on interior piece question

redoing my interior
Going to do my first DIY alcantara wrap on some interior pieces. Just ordered alcantara from overland designs. i am going to start by wrapping my dash pieces but going to try something i haven't seen anyone post about. i want to put the new fender trim emblem (which is just the round 86 symbol) off the 2017 model onto the bottom right corner of the dash. it sticks on with 3m and is raised.
my question is.... is it possible to make a clean cut around the emblem with alcantara... or should i just wrap the dash piece and put the emblem on top of the alcantara?
Remember this is my first DIY with alcantara

I actually did this on mine. I have the JPM dash piece and placed the 2017 left fender emblem along the bottom right side. Turned out nice and it sticks on fine without the need to cut anything around it. As soon as I get my car back I'll take a pic.

Wow really? DIDN'T think anyone had done this yet. Haha. But the emblem stuck nice on the alcantara and doesn't move around?

So far so good. I figured if it was meant to secure to the exterior of the vehicle and last, it should have no problem inside of the vehicle. Stuck on just fine for me. Just know you probably won't be able to remove it without ruining the Alcantara altogether.
