Squeaking/ticking noise coming from engine bay
 

Noticed this the other day, it seems to only do it after warming up and driving around for a bit. Sounds like a tensioner squeak but not sure. Any ideas? https://vimeo.com/192041957

Sounds like the combination of injector and squeak (or crickets) from the HPFP?
In all, injector noise is normal (especially after being warmed up), and the HPFP noise happens to some, not all, depends on fuel, and a lot of other factors.

Yep nothing odd there. Injectors sound like an old diesel tractor and the fuel pump crickets love to sing sometimes. You will get used to both.

Yep, the FA20 engine sounds like an old OHV 6 cylinder engine, that has a couple of valves way out of adjustment and a couple of exhaust manifold leaks ......:eyebulge:

You guys need to convince toyota/subaru to implant engine start & off thing in other cars... so we don't embarrass ourselves everytime the car comes to a stop. ;)

Oh, just give no fucks and enjoy it! I don't even hear the crickets there. Just direct injectors ticking away. That's the beautiful sound of efficiency.
