Porsche Experience Center in Carson CA

Just recently opened not officially to the public yet but I drove by and they said by next week. Too bad it's not a fullly fledged race track it would've been a great option to Willow Springs.

SLG is doing a big meetup there on December 3rd. Lunch at their cafe/diner :).

Starts at 11AM :)

It is open to the public already, they are just temporarily "SOLD OUT" of spots because of the launch of the new Panamera. Grand Opening was Oct 28.

I always wondered what that big empty area near the 405 was for. Passed through there last weekend at night and saw some spot lights and stuff.

For those wondering 😳😳😳😳thats a plane ticket for me to Europe or Asia rofl. Too bad its not an alternative to Willow Springs.

Any photos of the inside facility, I passed by again there parking lot can be an awesome spot for Cars and Coffee hopefully the ricer/centric Carson scene won't ruin it.

Unfortunately I didn't take any photos of the facility..only various Porsches.

But the facility itself isn't too big inside, but I think the parking lot will be sufficient for a C&C.

Photos inside the place, gosh I wish Porsche would consider opening that track up.

That would be awesome if they rent out the track on certain days.

They do, my vendor rented the place out for tomorrow we are going to drive the new 911, 718 and Cayman.

It's a cool package, breakfast, morning hands on instructions then noon-5 it's all racing.

I think he meant for non-Porsche events.

Yeah, I asked today and no cars outside of their fleet can be on the track including customer porches. I'll post pics when im home.

The cool thing, all the instructors are drift, drag and track drivers. I had Dai Yoshihara as my instructor.

Sorry for the late pics -

No recording was allowed on the track, I broke 2 718 Boxers (car went into limp mode, tranny stuck in 2nd), the instructor told me it happens a lot on the course I was on, (Giant circle with an inner polished/watered circle, suppose to be able to drift the inner circle), I broke something so they put me in a 911 for the day.

I had a blast, I found out it was about 1,000.00 an hour for the setup I was doing (Breakfast, Lunch, personal instructor 718/911, $2000.00 insurance deductible down from the standard $10,000.00). Was it worth it? I think the hands on instruction was nice but no way I would come out of pocket 8k for it. Thank God for vendors :).

Cheers.
