Fall 2016 - So I figured it was about time I share progress on my build on a more consolidated space than random places on the internet and bring everything to a central location...so here we go!



I picked up my BRZ with 13k miles on it as a CPO car mid 2014 after searching for a few months for the right car - it was between this or a pearl white BRZ more local to me. Something about this particular car made it really feel right, though. The car was located in Maryland, and with me in Indianapolis, I took it as an opportunity to fly out with my dad and drive it home as a father-son trip. I encourage any of you considering buying a car out of state to take your father with you and make it a memory - one of the best decisions I've made with this car.


Going to go ahead and get this out of the way before it's brought up - yes, it's an automatic. No I do not have any fucks left to give on that topic of discussion.


Drove the car home, 600 miles in a day. Will always remember the feeling of my first *new* car (close enough) - felt like everything I had worked for up until that moment was worth it. I will remember that feeling for the rest of my life and try to recall it every time I deal with frustrations on the build or setbacks in life. If anything comes across to anyone reading this thread, I hope that you'll take away one thing - stay humble and work hard and you can do anything you want.

At the time, I was working for a Lotus dealership in Indy doing marketing and media management, so I had access to a few parts distributors and ordered Tein Street Basis coilovers, an Invidia N1 catback, and a Cusco front strut tower brace bar right off the bat and started digging into the platform to learn and absorb as much knowledge as I could about it, which I continue to do to this day and will never stop learning.

We had a corporate account with a local track to host track events and weekends, so I was able to get the car out on the track for the first time a few months after I purchased it, and even though I was just on coilovers and stock wheels/tires... I was instantly hooked. This build has been a combination of form and function, due to my inner ricer, but usually function ends up winning out.

Hey this is pretty cool. I too flew out and bought my BRZ and drove it 9 hours back with my dad (I actually bought it off someone from this forum lol). Nice looking car btw!
