Bc Extreme Low or Pbm pro coils?

I've been reading that bc's get a knocking noise out if the box when instalked and thats the only con.As for the Pbm Pros ive heard nothing but good stuff. So i wanna know your guys opinions on both.Im using my car for a daily and also some track drifting. Also do pbm coils go low as bc?

How low do you want to go?
The 86 suspension design (especially the rear) is damper travel limited.
So you want to get the longest suspension that will lower to want you want.

So if you only want to lower 2", you don't want a suspension that can lower 3 inch.

I wouldn't classify these together. Parts Shop Max is pretty local in Escondido and they're all about drift. Just give them a call and tell them your goals. Good guys over there. I've ridden in the shop FRS when it still had a FA20 and had just gotten the first set of coilovers installed before I drove up. I was shocked at how smooth it was for being so slammed (no idea how low in actual #s, but my foot barely fit under the car). To really get low, I think you need at least their rear LCAs, which allow you to get some shock travel back. They've also done stuff like raise the rear subframe, etc.

Besides, they have the best color scheme. Their whole catalog looks steampunk.

I have PBM Pro coilovers, and have nothing but good words about them, I LOVE them. Great adjustability, significantly lighter than stock, no clunks at all or spring binding (although you do hear 'tapping noises' from the pillowball mounts when going over rough surfaces or small bumps), smooth ride on high spring rates...

The only thing I would advice you to do if you get them is to ask for them to send it on an 8k/8k spring rate configuration, rather than their 8k/6k. While driving on the 8k/6k, the car felt super stable, behaved like a 4wd, all corners would lose traction at the same time. This might be awesome if you want to do fast lap times, but if you want to have fun and keep the car tail happy like it is from factory, go 8k/8k

I have the BC Extreme Lows, I love them but the clunk noise is annoying as hell. I'm getting it only in the front passenger side. Unless you wanna tuck your wheels in and go low, I wouldn't bother.

Ik this is from a while ago but how low was your rear? I just got some and maxed out the rear has a 4 finger gap.
