After.

I use compressed air to blow dust, water, and particulate off/out of my engine bay all the time now to keep it clean.

WTB elbow grease. $50/gallon? LMAO

Ok, ok, I'll tell everybody. I used Mothers polish, not elbow grease. I know you were wondering!

I think they are either reluctant to answer your call for back up or are more circumspect. You might be alone now.

Or maybe none of us wants to see them.

Lol! Wolves. Pretty sure there is a thread in Off Topic that you can find them in... Ok, back to the detailing details...

I used a multi surface degreaser (lysol h202 spray, contains no bleach) for the plastic and rubber parts under the hood after using the mothers. The buffer "slings" the compound around a bit.

I spray the cleaner on a rag, not directly on the engine. Then scrub. Then compressed air. Works great! You can see a huge difference in the plug "boot" on top of the alternator.

Intake tube? Yeah, it turned grey over time. So I plastidipped it black, a stupid idea. Then buggared it with the buffer. It will come out when I get an intake... oh well. First pic is right after I sprayed it, then everthing else looked terrible.

Really, I did things out of order. :bonk:

Has it thrown any codes?

There should be one.
