Services out of service plan

Hi there,

Just wondering how many of you have already done your 75,000km or 90,000km services and the prices that Toyota charged.

I'm considering doing these services either at a Subaru dealership or at another approved workshop as Toyota is overpriced in general.

for the 2012 models out there, next year would be the end of your service plan if you have not racked up your mileage...need to start planning ahead.:bonk:

I am up for my 90000km service and asked Toyota for a quote, they quoted me R6000 or so for it without labour included

Expensive cause spark plugs will get changed for the first time, the engine gets dropped a little to gain access.

beg to differ, my LC has had 6 services done at Toy, most expensive was 3.8k inclusive of diff oils front and rear as well as the biggest service on the rolling schedule.

Which tyres did they fit? could you post the invoice so we could see the details?

And fuel filter - that's a big one by the looks of it. Labour intensive, plus expensive part.

Guessing if you have a dealer fit tyres there was more work done out of the scheduled service... care to elaborate? Brakes? Wipers? Discs? Saying it was R11k is irrelevant, tyres probably around R3.5k?

If possible please post a pic of your invoice? Would love to get a sense of the labour on the spark plugs.

Fisheagle has given us plenty examples of where Subaru is cheaper. So personally I won't be going to Toyota. (Brakes, filters, etc).
I'm either going to scooby or private.

My lost key is another e.g. 8k at Toyota, 5k at Subaru. Same damn thing with a 10c board inside and 3 buttons!

Here you go, invoice of the 90000km service

Please note that this was just the service and then they fitted 2 tyres. All parts used are what were included for the service only. Nothing extra was added.

They repaired a loose connection on a spark plug which I was not charged for.
