Padldleshifting seems slower

I've been using my paddles all year, and it seems like some shifts are getting slower. I don't know if it's just in my head, and I have just been adjusted to it during the year, or if there is an explanation.

Any thoughts?

I use them and they do seem to have a small delay VS sport mode

a delay is understood, but it seems to be more of a delay than i remember earlier in the year.

Sometimes I really envy you AT guys and your automatic rev matched downshifts. I especially love the fact that you can downshift into 1st.

I would literally be doing that as I approached every single stop sign or red light!

I feel like if I'm just coasting there's a definite delay but if I'm on the throttle/braking/etc. it's pretty quick.

Maybe change your engine oil and rear differential oil if it's been awhile. I always feel the car shifts much smoother after putting in new fluid.

This is what I do... its stupid but I love hearing the exhaust roar at each downshift, especially into first. :bellyroll:

Is it accompanied by hard shifts/car somewhat bucking?

Maybe post up a video if you are able to..

That only occurs during user error.

It's more of lag when being aggressive on the throttle.

Maybe I missed it, but downshifts or upshifts or both?

IIRC, from user input to the computer shifting, it takes ~.5 seconds. So if it takes longer than that, there *might* be something going on.

I've only experienced the lag from before I got the tcm reflash earlier in the year.

Try the transmission tsb for the idle search. It might help with responsiveness.
