Help me decide to buy this 2013 FRS

I found a 2013 FRS with 63,000 kms

has the following mods:
header pipe
remote start
a couple of cosmetic things like a new antenna, tint etc.

2 sets of rims, one with brand new winter tires and summer tires with no tread.

Really well taken care of. Has a book of all work done, oil changes, etc.
Drove really well. Kind of noisy from road noise but the actual car didn't make any worrying sounds.

Talked him down to 17K Canadian.

Is it worth it? Am I leaving anything out? Should I be looking for anything?

Sounds good. Buy it.

If you want me to take a look at it just let me know. I may even know the car.

Seems good.

Not sure how you feel about aftermarket headers. But if he has the stock one you can always sell the aftermarket one for some extra money and put the stock one back on :)

It comes with the stock one as well... But I was going to put one on anyways.

Thanks for the offer! My brother is a car guy and knows what to look for.

One question I have though. Is the brake pedal supposed to be really stiff? It took a bit more force than what I'm used to to push on the brakes.

Pedal feel is subjective to what you are used to really. I don't think it is "stiff" at all.
but if you came out of a car with really soft brakes it could seem that way.
Heads up: These cars make all sorts of weird and wonderful
clicks , clanks, squeaks, squawks, buzzes and chirps when they run. At idle they sound like an old Russian farm tractor. Don't let these tings confuse your brother or self into thinking there is something wrong. Many an experienced car guy has been fooled when they hear to distinct THUNK when they change gears or get a rattle from the diff when they take a corner. It is just the nature of the car and it's very limited sound proofing.

The fact that the summer tires have "no tread" is a bit bothersome though.

Be more cautious when buying from private party.

Will the seller let you return it after having a reputable FRS mechanic check it?

Some people have added a master cylinder brace which might change the feel of the brakes. It would be mounted to the strut tower and pushing against the master cylinder.

Thanks guys! I ended buying it! The guy was really cool and replaced the brakes for me too. Ended up costing 16,500 with second set of rims.

Tires are actually in decent shape good for another 2 seasons. Has weather tek floor mats.

Doesn't have a complete header just the front pipe. Certified and e tested. Paint protection film, binder full of receipts and logs.

Overall pretty gosh darn happy with my purchase!

What colour? I will watch for you. There are not a pile of us around town. Hardly any in the south where I am.

Sounds good, and the paperwork is a plus. Be sure to check it out though. Two major things i would look for is an oil leak by the cam plate behind the engine, and listen to the clutch to be sure the throwout bearing isn't bad. All the other recalls aren't that bad, these two stuck out the most as they can be expensive repairs, especially if not taken care of.
