So I have wanted to add chrome vent rings to the interior but haven't been able to find any. So after a couple of weeks doing measurements and research I have found out that the chrome rings on a 1999 Harley FLHC (Tack and speedo) will fit on the GT86 vents.


Total parts needed.
2 Chrome 3 5/8 1999 FLH instrument bezels $30 for both.
Black vinyl spray paint $7
Sand paper sheets 320grit $5
1/4 inch 3M roll of two sided tape $7


Basically take out the plastic vent rings. Sand the surface of the vent to make it flatter. Then repaint to cover up sanding. Rap the bottom of the chrome rings with the 3M tape and carefully place on the vent. Took me about 1hr including waiting for paint to dry. There is enough of a cavity in the chrome rings to put the tape and have the rings sit flush.
