A question about colour!
Im in the "fortunate" position of buying my second BRZ this year after I wrote off my white 2016.
I love all the colours! So rather than ask about favourite colours, what I want to know is... Do you ever wish you bought a different colour? |
Nope. I fall in love with mine a little more every time I see other colors.

I'm thinking I'll probably get another white. I felt love every time I saw it, so I expect that to continue. Just ... it's a new chapter. |
Everybody seems to be able to get a blue or a white around here, but I couldn't and ended up with a grey.

On the bright chrome, the owner of a local wrap shop near me has an F250 that was wrapped like this at one point (he changes it about once every six months). You DO NOT want to be in or around it when the sun hits it. It's blinding to other drivers. |

Yep that did cross my mind also about the reflection... https://media.tenor.co/images/18b68e...13e4a27b44/raw |
I'm running a WRB and not once have I thought I should have bought a different colour.

I have a WRB BRZ and love it, except for when I meet up with other 86 owners and there are 5 out 8 that are also WRB. I do like the dark grey.

WRB is the only color that Subaru needs.
|
I thought I might regret Lightning Red, but I don't. This color looks good even when it's dirty. I got some black dust on it a while back, and rather than make it look dirty, it accentuated the curves of the car and looked like I had covered it in some kind of black lacquer clearcoat for highlights. Having owned both black and white vehicles in the past, both look dirty all the time if you don't keep them meticulously clean. Plus they blend into their surroundings and make them difficult to see. I don't have that problem at all with the red.

I love my argento (silver) , but would have also bought white or wrb. (If scion was available in that color)

Still loving my DGM.

I ran various colours in the past and fancied something different and WRB is something different especially in the UK. |

I wish they made these cars in additional colors.
I'd love a dark green. Also wish Hyper blue was already available in the 2017 model year. Personal taste...I don't care for the WRB color. My car is Ultramarine...quite happy with it, despite that it shows scratches easily. Also, it's dark color keeps the car warm inside, when parked, even on cool winter days with overcast skies. Not so good on hot days this color. My other car is silver...very practical for not showing dirt, scratches, and reflects sunlight almost as well as white. It would surely be nice if Subaru put better, harder paint on these cars. Paint currently used is just too fragile. |

Enjoy ;) |
Under good light, CWP is great, but every now and then I come across a WRB BRZ and feel like my car is less of a Subaru

Wrb here, i love it but it wasn't even my first choice. I wanted white, red, orange but then when I saw wrb i was stunned.
I do wish i got orange though, under the sun it's amazing. |

I've got a CWP and KIND of wish I got the DGM.
Everyone in my city has a damn white car. The car looks great though in white don't get me wrong... its just the color loses its appeal every time I see another white car. And then i wash it, give it a nice wax and my love for white starts all over again. The cycle keeps repeating. :bonk: |
I really like my 2013 silver Limited. Looking at the brochures before the car was in production I favored the pearl white. Saw the car in the flesh at a car show and it was silver... I knew it was the color I wanted.
It's an elegant, soft silver. Kinda retro. Like an old Aston Martin might wear. I would like to see it in British Racing Green just for fun |
Nope. I love blue and went with the BRZ in WRB. Haven't regretted that decision once. I do wish the BRZ was offered in more colors though, like a dark brown or gold. Then I may think twice about my WRB.
|
GBS, only color I wanted. Thankfully I was lucky enough to find a low mileage one since that color was long gone before I was ready to buy.
+1 for dark green. |
Love white aesthetically on this car, but it is annoying to keep clean.
For colors that should be easier to keep clean (aka colors for lazy people like me), red was my second choice and it still looks great. WRB also looks fantastic. |
WRB or CWP is the way to go.
WRB pops in a crowd. CWP really brings the lines of the car out, and is easier to maintain from swirls. Both are pretty common colors for 86 owners, but i'll say more people have white cars, and among those 86s, compared to a blue car. So if I got a 2nd car it'd be a white one, but I'm happy with my WRB |
