Daily Driver SC for pushing 300 whp

Title does a pretty good job of summing it up.

I'm looking for a daily-able SC that can get me as near to 300 wheel as possible on 93.

Will be getting a custom tune after installation and it will be going in my car which already has HKS EL headers and an MXP quad tip catback.

Looking for the highest reliability for the longevity of the car. Price is a minimal consideration.

So far it seems like the HKS, Jackson Racing, and Edelbrock lead the pack in this department.

Could anyone shed some like on the reliability of the HKS kit and/or how it stacks up vs. the other two? Especially the Jackson racing kit who's currently leading.

Thanks,
Anderzz

Vortech could do it too, but I do not think that was the best kit for track? tho it is my fav kit from a visual perspective

I'm about 15k daily driven miles on my Jackson Racing C30 kit but I'm running E85. Current power output is about 300 whp. No problems to report. Had quite number of redline pulls, still going strong now.

Edlebrock I've heard great things about its build quality. Few local people love it for daily since it has usable torque at the low end.

Dunno on HKS /shrug

Good luck on your search!

I have about 1k miles on my c38 JRSC kit and it's going great. I am running mostly e85 so I'm guessing I'm around the 320-340 range... but on pump I'm sure it's @ 300.

JR has been nothing but great for me

Edelbrock is currently running a sale right now FYI. $3650 I believe.

Those are blemished kits. Granted, should not impact performance in any way... Just keep in mind that it might not look perfect and the quantities are likely limited.

That said, they claim to still offer free shipping and honor the $500 warranty... Amazing deal.

Haha nice.

I'm actualy looking for something similar to you. I'm kinda looking at turbo kits as well because hitting 300whp is a lot easier on a turbo. However i dont know how reliable that is and since a lot of supercharger kits now come with a warranty...

You should take a look at the site though. They show images of some of the kits to give you an idea. Keep in mind that "not perfect" may not imply that you can see the imperfection once the kit is installed. Think about it... if you got a brand new kit (at full price) and there was a big scratch on the bottom of the supercharger... wouldn't you want to exchange it? However, if you're saving ~$2k on the kit, once it's installed you'll never see the bottom of the SC... who really cares? Granted, that's just a theoretical example...

Exactly... If I hadn't already picked up a used Harrop kit would be all over this.
