New FR-S Owner, 19 Super stoked.

I've been wanting to get one of these for so loong, I'm 19 and just picked it up on Saturday. I have a lot planned for it, let me know if you're curious and hit me up with any tips :)

1) Don't crash

2) don't mod it until you have driven it for ~6 months (you will find its very good out of the box) but then have at her

3) Don't buy parts on your credit card (I know this from personal experience haha)

4) Enjoy :) I bought mine brand new when I was 19

Everything. Well insurance wise, he's the reason why our rates go up.

Oh, welcome, don't crash. Thank your parents. Then after a while sell it, buy civic or a mustang.

Have fun, but really don't crash. Like seriously don't crash.

Age location and driving record means a lot as far as insurance costs go. I was pleasantly surprised when I stopped the coverage on my 2007 Yaris and started coverage on my 2016 FR-S series 2.0 . It is only $10/mo. more than the Yaris was!!!

congrats, be safe! do what you want to do to it. Dont worry, there are self loving mods that will bring you back to reality when you get into RICE TOWN. I almost fell into that pit.

Thanks, and my parents had nothing to do with it.

My parents had nothing to do with my car purchase either.

Except provide a stable child hood and good work ethic that helped set me up for success in life. Yeah, nothing except that...

I understand that, just thought he might of thought my parents bought it.

Congrats!

What the others said.
1. Dont crash it
2. Seriously, be careful, because just a fun slide around a corner could end badly if your wheel hits the curb sideways.
3. Don't mod it yet. Have fun with it, look at other cars, try to decide what you want the end result to look like.
4. Mod costs add up. Sometimes I wish I focused more on paying off my BRZ than buying aftermarket parts (mainly because I want to buy a house now).
