2012 Subaru Impreza
http://www.insideline.com/subaru/imp...auto-show.html
Interesting. Shows a better idea of Subaru's new design direction. I like it much better than the current one, which imo is way too bland. |
Really? That one looks just as bland as any other sedan.
Seriously they could've said "2012 Corolla" and I would've been none the wiser. |
i'd like to see the whole thing from various angles.
|
It's still dull, but there's at least some character in the lines (pronounced wheel arches etc.)
The current gen. is as flat as can be. |
Looks like a last gen Kia.
|
Looks like a suzuki sx4.
|
I have to agree. That looks pretty bland
|
I saw it at the LA auto show. I'll post the picture up once I get home. It looks like a scion tC. :/
|
I think it will probably sell well, I like to judge a car once I've seen it in person but it looks ok so far. 36mpg hwy for an AWD car is in my books impressive even if it is from a CVT transmission (consider the jump for it's current base 2.5L of 27mpg hwy). I see it as good news that the FB20 is going global and will reached the North American market.
I'm actually looking forward to NY to see how the various cars that have been teased apart from the FT. It should be a good show! |
I kinda thought the same when I saw it, way to boring to be Subaru. Its no longer a funky, dare I say, ugly design. Just boring.
|
I agree with the rest; very bland and boring like a current American sedan.
|
I was hoping it be like the concept that thing just screamed GTFO of my way Im bad ass ! but now... it's alittle... hmm... Im hoping the WRX and STI variant are much more aggressive and nice. I was thinking of the MPG is good and the FT86 bombed in both Subie and Toyota/Scion form I save for an Impreza WRX. But they get terrible MPG. But the 4wd is nice to have when I have to work in winter and it snows.

What ever happened to mean/aggressive looking Imprezas? In my opinion, Subaru has a done an exceptional job with their Impreza line up until 2008. Anyone know how the market numbers are for the 08-11 impreza's compared to the 02-03,04-05, and 06-07? If anyone can provide numbers of how much Subaru sold those years, that would be great. I'll assume that the 08-11 will have the least, considering they're getting more american, more heavy every year.
|
eww. That is yucktacular. being the base model though, they want bland so it'll sell. I'm sure the racier specs will be much more aggressive.
