Good Body shops in LA

1 Attachment(s)
Hey guys, so yesterday somebody backed into my rear bumper while i was parked in my school parking lot. Lucky that person left a note with their number and insurance info.

The only damage is to the rear bumper, everything else is fine. Im pretty sure the bumper has to be replaced.

I was wondering if anyone knows a good body shop that doesn't do micky mouse work since alot of shops in socal do. Ill upload pictures of the damage later today.

Orange County Benson Auto Body. Check their yelp you will see my car there. Front Bumper damage and hood, replaced and paint matched

Best place to start I think is to ask your local auto dealerships where they take their cars.

I've only tried four or so body shops and the best one I've been to is Ford Auto Body shop in Van Nuys. But was about 15 years ago.

At the time, they fixed the cars that got damaged during transportation or other mishaps in their service departments for most of the local auto dealers including the high end ones like Jaguar.

The worst place was this "custom" body shop in Burbank. They could never get it right. Whoever polished the paint burned through it. I took it back about five times and they never fixed it. So, I gave up. The body work/paint on the part done by Ford still looks good. The custom body shop paint started peeling after only a couple years.

Thanks for the advice guys. I ended up taking it to North Hollywood Auto Body.

My coworker got his e46 m3 repaired by them and they did a flawless job. his driver side door, quarter panel, and rear bumper were hit and I honestly couldn't tell it had been worked on when I saw the car. They even went the extra mile and repainted his front bumper as well since his paint was starting to fade.

I'll post some before and after pictures when i get the car back.

I've seen videos where people just pop that out with a blow dryer. Try googling a video first. Might save you a lot of money...

I had a friend get a bump like that out of his forerunner last week. His paint was old so it chipped but at least the bump came out fine.

The other persons insurance is covering everything so I'm not paying anything out of pocket.

Oo lol didn't read everything. Just saw the picture.

In that case, C&C Collision did a fantastic job on my brother's whiteout(and whiteout is hard to match) front bumper and my black fiat. Great customer service too.

I've heard DTM might have trouble with whiteout, but they do honor their repaint policy pretty well. I know you're not whiteout lol but just some food for thought.

I've tried working with Strauss but they were too busy. Heard good things though.

I've got a tiny dent on my rear driver side quarter panel very close to the wheel well.
It's smaller than a penny, but I had a PDR guy look at it but he told me it's not fixable cause the area is double metal and will be very hard to work with. I have the Steel color FRS and do you think the body shop will have to repaint the whole entire quarter panel plus the roof line and rocker panel just to fix it? I've been told the steel color is quite hard to match but any recommendations to a body shop? I'm crossing fingers they would only have to work on that area and not the entire section...
