Production Numbers

Looking for production numbers by year, bonus points for including colors.

I know Toyota is rather tight lipped about it, and this may have been covered before, so apologies in advance.

Ultimately trying to find out how many other MY16 Ravens were made :)

I have spent hours and hours looking for that data. It does not seem to be available.
There was some questionable data in and old thread someplace where a guy claimed to have found the breakdown of colours for the 2013 MY.

From memory (and remember they were not official to start with):

Black 20%
White 20%
Silver 15%
Red 15%
Blue 15%
Grey 10%
Orange 5%

In summary when looking for the number of Ravens the total would be a shitload.

Hmm, well thanks. Maybe this information will surface later, as was the case with the Celica and Supra.

Maybe but I doubt it. There is no value to Toyota in releasing this and anything that doesn't come directly from them is questionable anyway.

I have sales numbers by month, but not separated out by color, model year, etc... Assuming MY16 sales *started* around Sept (because they're now selling MY17 Toyota 86's as of Sept)...

Between Sept 2015 and Sept 2016, 8495 FR-S were sold.

Assuming 20% of them were Raven...

That's a total of 1699 Raven examples for MY16. But, those numbers are gonna be inaccurate.

Yep, sales numbers are easy to get but they don't mean much without production numbers. Could have sold 1000 black ones in one month and none in the next.

So does everyone with Google...

http://www.goodcarbadcar.net/2012/05...s-figures.html

With 60k sold so far and almost no noteworthy trim levels or upgrades, the only 'rare' 86's will be Scion's silly release series and a late model orange car with MT.

A 2013 blue (not WRB) BRZ with a MT will be the winner for rarity between the two badges.

I find those numbers surprising. I see lots of orange, white, and red FR-Ss driving locally, but over the years, I can think of having seen only one silver one ever. I'm not sure if I've ever seen a blue one.

Granted, I live in South Carolina and every car is a pickup truck.

No doubt regional preferences will skew what you see. Around here it is mostly red, blue or white that I spot. The black or white ones can also sneak past without even noticing them.

I never see Hot Lava or Ultramarine here. Everything else is very common in Northern California. I usually see more BRZs though.

jmho

Three thousand bucks for a different shade of paint and a bunch of 'features' I have zero interest in just never tickled my fancy.

Glad you're happy with yours!
