Any chance that Toyota gives the 86 trim levels?
 

I know Toyota announced that we're only getting monospec 86s, but will we ever get to have the chance for a Toyota with BRZ limited creature comforts in future model years? Or is that still reserved for special editions?

Take this as grain of salt, but my friends in toyota canada head office have told me its more likely for more trims now that it is part of toyota but will still need 2~3 years minimum.

Sooner or later I hope so. My biggest complaint (other than front bumper) is the lack of 4" digital screen that the 17 BRZ Limited has. I would not even consider a 2017 86 for that alone.

There were three actual Scion/Toyota press releases (not clickbait interpretations) that they said mono for 2017s and that they were "considering", "looking at" and "anticipating" other trim levels for 18.
In other words they have a plan but are not willing to share it yet.
